Ever Want To Title Your Post 'Please Comment! Pretty Please?'

Truth time here - even though it's embarrassing.  I'm beginning to feel like a loser.  I've been blogging for a few years now and in the beginning I made lots of wonderful connections with incredible people. The connections were constant and terrific. Over the years my attention to my blog withered but I kept in touch with a handful of bloggers that I call friends.  Over the last couple of months I've felt the need to reconnect with the blogosphere and have been paying closer attention to my content and working hard to connect, visiting and leaving comments but nothing is clicking.  Does my writing and my blog totally stink?

I have joined blog hops (I feel I'm one of the few actually visiting/leaving comments on the blogs that have left their link), I have joined groups on social media sites and I've increased my productivity on my blog.  I'm visiting.  I'm commenting.  I would love to find liked-minded, or heck, just someone who would like to check-in once in a while, but I can't seem to get more than 1 comment every other day.  I feel silly.

Anyone else going through this? Or, again, is it just me?
