OUR DAILY PINS

Growing up, my parents taught us the value of quality family time.  My mother insisted that we sit down as a family most evenings for dinner.  Seriously?  - Both my parents worked full-time jobs and my siblings and I had our own schedules. My mother had the audacity to demand that Sunday supper together was a "Because, I said so" evening. There were no cell phones, TV or any other distractions. Just the family enjoying a great home-made meal together while sharing the moments of our week or day. Many times my siblings and I complained. Nevertheless, I am convinced that something as simple as dinnertime with my family greatly impacted how I choose to commit to my family. Don't get me wrong, our family schedule can be quite hectic. In spite of this, we need this time to bond, rekindle and reconnect.  NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED!   BECAUSE MOMMA SAID SO!
