Introducing the FMC Verifi™ Bed Bug Detector

Have you heard the latest in bed bug control?  All the buzz is centered around the FMC Verifi Bed Bug Detector which is promising to be the silver bullet in bed bug management.  The Verifi™ Detector works like no other bed bug monitor on the market.  Using three different lures, the monitor makes it irresistible to bed bugs looking for a meal or looking to congregate.  I am being told that the combination of these three lures is unprecedented in bed bug detection.  I also understand the landlords, hotel managers, housing authority, property managers and homeowners will be able to purchase this product through a pest control supplier, Dominion Pest Control here: Verifi Bed Bug Detectors.  You can order the Verifi™ Bed Bug Detector by going to their site (above) or by calling them direct: 1-800-490-6979.

How the FMC Verifi™ Detector Works

The video below is an extremely detailed video explaining how the FMC Verifi™ Bed Bug Detector works.  It will probably be TMI (too much information) for most folks, so I will do my best below the video to explain it in a way that works in your world.  What you need to know before watching the video is that you cannot purchase this directly from FMC, you will have to purchase through Dominion Pest Control Products unless you have a pest control distributorship.

So What Does This All Mean?

Okay, so translate you say.  Here we go...The FMC Bed Bug Detector uses a combination of a Carbon Dioxide (CO2) cartridge that simulates a person in bed (or bed bug host), along with 2 liquid lures that play on bed bug instincts.  One is a aggregation pheromone that stimulates the bugs to congregate.  The other is something called a kairomone, which is difficult to explain, but best way to say it, is that is a beacon, telling bed bugs where there is a food source.  So, if you take all three of these lures combined, it creates a "bed bug paradise".

One comment I should make is that the CO2 cartridge is intended for a "fast track" to detection.  This bonus tells you within 24 hours if bed bugs are present.  However, it only lasts 24 hours.  Never fear, it is completely replacable so you might want to purchase additional cartridges along with the two liquid lures that last a whopping 90 days!  In any event, the FMC Verifi™ Bed Bug Detector is the best tool for anywhere bed bugs are suspected.

Where Should I Use FMC Bed Bug Detectors?

The FMC Verifi™ Detector should be used in the following buildings:

Homes

Motels

Office Buildings

Hotels

Apartments

Hospitals

With this is mind, please remember to always follow the label on FMC Verifi™ Bed Bug Detectors!
