Foodie Friday | Our Best Kitchen Investment Ever

Because we just attended a wedding…and because that makes me reminisce on my own wedding day ten years ago (geesh, that decade just flew by), today’s post is about a gift we received ten years ago that was most definitely our best kitchen investment EVER. (Not to say that a lot of other kitchen items are somehow not as good. But these have turned out to be simply indispensable in so many different ways.)

So…what is the ONE miracle kitchen item?

Metal Mixing Bowls. Yes. Oooooh la la!

No, not fancy. Definitely not designer. Hmmm…not even a moving part. Cheers to no moving parts to break!

Yep. Metal Mixing Bowls.

Pre-kids, we used our metal mixing bowls a few times a week, depending on our restaurant cravings. But these days, cooking mostly from scratch, we use these bowls literally every single day. No, make that multiple times a day. We love them.

And don’t just just get the basic set if you are still without a few good mixing bowls. There is nothing like having a HUGE metal bowl for…

…and of course, a good foot soak (my ‘hobbit’ feet, as my husband calls them, are not so blessed, so I think I’ll skip that photo if you don’t mind).

I’m sure you get the point. Truly endless potential. Anyone else love their mixing bowls?
