For those of you who have skipped town to attend BlogHer 2010 in NYC, bite me. For the rest of us saps left behind to continue blogging in your absence, it’s @$#*%! Friday!…a rather poor substitute for BlogHer, but whaddya want from me??!! ANYWHO, in the spirit of summer vacation, The Boy & I have watched a TON of movies recently, staying up late & hangin’ out. Don’t worry, no real spoilers! Though I’m the first to admit that I’m hard to please when it comes to capturing my interest & attention, even I was annoyed to be sadly disappointed time & again. “Knowing” with Nicholas Cage & “The Box” with Cameron Diaz blew…convoluted, disjointed, story lines that I had expected to have a good mystery behind them & instead wound up being ridiculous alien plots. ”The Wanted”, & “Salt”, which we happened to watch back to back, with Angelina Jolie, were pretty much the same movie…she runs around killing people & you never know for certain if she’s good or bad…& since she’s the star & we’re not complete morons, it’s not too hard to guess which side she’ll come out on. ”2012″ was just depressing, & virtually a carbon copy of every other “the world is ending” disaster flick, while “The A-Team” had a decent mix of action & humour but was pretty fantastical with the stunts…in a “Oh, c’mon!” kinda way. We did all enjoy “The Lightning Thief” & “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”, & I finally got to see “Paranormal Activity”, (yes, I watched it alone!)…which was a wonderfully spooky movie, but I was disappointed when they went for the cheap thrill at the end. Now why, you may ask, am I boring you with all of this?
