color: black; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">I find it very easy to come up with a list of troubles, trials and tribulations I’m suffering (or at least feel I’m suffering). &nbsp;Anything from a unexpected albeit minor emergency surgery to my husband’s paycheck missing about 7 hours of time-and-a-half pay to the fact that last night my 22-month old daughter woke up four times between 7 pm and 5 am even though she’s slept through the night ever since well before her first birthday, except for a few unfortunate bouts with teething. &nbsp;Darn molars. &nbsp;&nbsp;</span><br /><span style="background-color: white; color: black; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Let’s revisit the first of those three scenarios I mentioned earlier. &nbsp;Back in March, I underwent an emergency surgery due to some major internal bleeding caused by a rupture of some sort. &nbsp;Upon my return home, three days later, I was quick to think of the negatives about it--the scars, the bills, the havoc caused by truly being physically unable to care for my children for a few days...and then this verse found my eye. &nbsp;And I’ve been working hard to put it into my heart. &nbsp;I have SO much to be thankful for! &nbsp;</span><br /><span style="background-color: white; color: black; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><br /><span style="background-color: white; color: black; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The scars? &nbsp;Who cares--I am living and breathing today only because those scars allowed the surgeon to use his skills and tools to see what was going on and how to fix it! &nbsp;&nbsp;</span><br /><span style="background-color: white; color: black; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><br /><span style="background-color: white; color: black; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The bills? &nbsp;We have insurance; I just calculated that our payment due was not quite 3 percent of the entire bill. &nbsp;That’s something to be unbelievably thankful for given the current state of the health insurance situation for most Americans right now!</span><br /><span style="background-color: white; color: black; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><br /><span style="background-color: white; color: black; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The havoc? &nbsp;It really wasn’t terrible, because I am blessed to have a lot of nearby family and friends that were more than willing to help out; either in coming to our home and taking care of me and the kids (thanks, Mom!) or bringing us a meal or two so that I could rest rather than deal with figuring out what to cook. &nbsp;It also gave me a much needed chance to evaluate where and exactly what my priorities need to be at this stage in my life.</span><br /><span style="background-color: white; color: black; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><br /><span style="background-color: white; color: black; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">So, the moral of the story? &nbsp;</span><br /><span style="background-color: white; color: black; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span><br /><span style="background-color: white;
