My children grew up with Miss Frizzle and her insanely over-the-top field trip adventures into the curious and mysterious world of science.
We packed into my Magic Yukon and departed for the capital of Michigan, with (as my niece used to say as a child) joy in our bodies.
If you have kids and live in mid-Michigan, I recommend a trip here. Don't worry about the rugrats. They can TOUCH ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THEY WANT here.
Also, if you are a parent of a child with autism, maybe call ahead to find out when the museum is quiet. It can be a bit of an overload with all of the other children running around. But I really recommend a trip for your child because it is FILLED with all sorts of good sensory stuff and mechanical gadgets to squeeze in a little therapy!

Now this experiment was my favorite. A magic mirror that shrinks your hips!
I wish that they were giving away free samples.
This was fascinating to watch. Pull on the cord and hoist the large ring that is dipped in bubble suds over your head. One big bubble. All around you! Is that cool or what?
It was a lot of information to swallow but this interactive museum is just brilliant. It was a perfect Sunday.
