HELP! I am a Girly-Girl Trapped in a Frumpy Mom’s Body!

I am in a funk. I am in a desperate need of some girlfriends to scoop me up and take me out shopping! Oh wait…I don’t have any girlfriends! Instead I have a career, 5 kids, a husband, dog and a cat that is nearing the end.

I need a wardrobe do-over, pedicure, manicure, mentalcure and all of the above. I would also like a mirror that when I stand in front of it drops 10lbs, erases my chin handles and smooth’s away all freckles and age spots. Man, when you hit 40 you really hit 40!

I admit I look good for 40, while wearing Spanx, Victoria Secret Miraculous bra, while standing with my legs slightly crossed in a “strike a pose” on the red carpet position. And for the most part I am ok with aging but every once in a while (mostly when I get out of the shower and glance at myself in the mirror) I have issue with it.

I think what this girl needs is a week stay in a luxury spa sitting poolside (of course in my Spanx approved swimsuit), abundant blended margaritas and a few girlfriends to sit and chat the time away! What do you think?
