Here's How To Teach Your Child The ABC's: Free Printable Alphabet Mini-Book For Alphabet Scrapbooking

When I was a teacher, it was my job to teach the class the alphabet.

I was always trying to find new ways to do this; to keep it interesting for the kids, and for me too!

One such teaching method that turned out quite well, was having the class create alphabet scrapbooks.

At the time, I thought it could be a really fun way to teach them the alphabet.

And, it was.

But, it turned out to be so much more than that.

In addition to the alphabet, they also also learned new vocabulary and how to spell a lot of these words.

Another positive that came out of this activity, was the reaction from the parents on parent-teacher night.

This is where the parents got to see their child's scrapbook for the first time.

They were so proud of their little ones!

You could see it in their eyes.

You could also see it in the way they held the scrapbook to their chest.

All this to say, when it came time to teach my son the alphabet, I knew just what I was going to do.

Start scrapbooking!

He is older now.

But, I still have the scrapbook.

Earlier this month, I showed it to my daughter.

I thought it was a good time as she will be starting preschool this fall.

I told her it was now her turn!

She is quite excited.

She told me she is ready. She is a big girl now!

Would you like to try it alongside me?
