Hoarding: When Too Much is Truly Too Much

We’re all quite aware of what clutter is and how it can not only adversely affect how our household functions, but also how it can also have a negative impact on our health. But this isn’t the full extent of how bad things can actually get.…

Diagnosing Cow’s Milk Protein Allergy in Children

Creating an environment where children remain healthy and happy is not always within a parent’s control, particularly during their early years. Medical issues may cause a variety of concerns for parents and their children that are both difficult to diagnose and a challenge to treat with…

How could your child father walk away so easily from his own flesh and blood? Let's talk about it in today’s blog post.

You know, I completely understand and get exactly how you are feeling. After telling my daughter father I was pregnant, he made it very clear how he was done having children and he wanted an abortion. I told him I did not believe in abortion and that the answer was no. He said, okay, what about adoption? I told him no again and with that he left and never heard from him again.

As the days, months and even years went by, I found myself trying to figure out how he could walk away so easily? It really pissed me off when I would see him via Facebook actively involved in his other three children lives but was refusing to even acknowledge the daughter we had together. What were so special about the other children that he was willing to be apart of their lives and not my daughter?

Here’s a few reasons I manage to come up with as to why he walked away so easily and is not apart of his daughter life.

  • He don't care.
  • He don’t see my daughter as his daughter.
  • He never loved me.
  • He don’t love her.
  • This is who he really is as a person.
  • He haven't formed a bond or a connection with my daughter which makes it easy for him to walk away.
  • And so on....

Here is the thing, if you find yourself thinking some of the same thoughts I described in this post then listen, you can either continue to drive yourself crazy with trying to figure out his reasons for leaving or you can decide to make peace with his decision and move forward with your life. Trust and believe God sees everything and he is not getting away with nothing, he will have to answer to his decision making in the end but until then you must begin to live your life peacefully.
