How I got $100 off our Power and Water bill with a simple conversation

It costs a fortune to have an air-conditioned house with pool!

I started to have a mini-heart-attack every time I get the bill in post.

So, it was time to try a new approach… Hate living in fear.

I looked at my darling who left the room with the light and computer still on. Then I looked at fish tank, fishes enjoyed their light on almost 12 hours a day (not the fact that most of the time the fish tank is in the bright day light anyhow). Then I remembered that we still have that second beer fridge downstairs…

Sad….

How I can involve the love of my life without nagging, trying to improve him or criticizing him?

Hmmmm.  Switching on creative thinking.

Everybody loves giving advice and recommendations. So one night, after our daughter went to bed and we sat down for our cup of tea, I asked him. What would be our options for decreasing Power and Water bill?  I explained that I have a general understanding, but he will be better informed because he has background in mechanics and engineering.

Well, men love giving advice. My love came up with 100 and 1 idea, some of the ideas were related to his activities and I wouldn’t even dare of hinting to those. Including the offer to get rid of the beer fridge.

That simple. I am sure it will work with any other bill. Ask for advice and you get more than you bargained for.

Saved at least $100 off the following power and water bill and still hoping to get more results from this little technique.

Try it! It really works.

Do not try to improve or change your husband, just ask for advice.
