I don't know about you, but I absolutely love, love, love fresh pineapple! At my house, we eat it fresh, grilled with caribbean jerk pork chops, kabobed with chicken and peppers, and chopped in a fresh pineapple salsa. I have bought it canned in the past, but once you have it fresh, it's hard to go back.
