How to make your Christmas wrapping stand out

Have you ever been to a wedding or baby shower and there’s that one gift that just stands out even before it’s opened? Everyone gawks over the uniquely wrapped gift and says things like “It’s too pretty to open!” Well that can be you with your Christmas gifts this year! There are several ways you can make your gifts stand out this Christmas.

First choose a solid color paper. It doesn’t have to be the traditional green or red paper, but choose a solid color instead of a Santa print. With solid paper you have many more options for customizing it.

If you choose white paper you can let your children show off their handiwork and draw pictures on the paper with crayons before you wrap the gifts. This is perfect for those Christmas gifts for families.

If you don’t want your kids scribbling all over the paper you can choose other unique ideas like making your own bows. Research online how to make your own bows. The bigger the bow; the more memorable the wrapping.

Another great idea is to add an artificial flower tied inside the bow. If you’re giving a vase as a gift, a flower to add to the theme is a special touch.

If you bought a gift that wasn’t quite as elaborate or as expensive as you had hoped to spend, just purchase a gift card and attach it to the bow on top of the package.

If you have a few extra Christmas decorations that didn’t fit on your tree or your mantle this year grab an ornament and tie it into the bow on the package or stick some holly through the ribbon.

Finally, if you are giving a gift to a family member or an old friend, you can find an old picture of the two of you and turn it into a Christmas card to attach to the package. This nostalgic gift accessory is sure to bring a smile to the recipient’s face.

Any of these small tips can add a very special touch to your Christmas gifts and excitement to your holiday shopping this season.
