Good thing we're way past the film era. Only nine pictures to land a good one? (Or six, if I had given up once I hit the jackpot.) This may actually be worth some sort of parenting award. We got both boys to smile in so few pictures! So how did we do it?

To be blunt: rapid fire.

Click, click, click! Just keep snapping and don't stop! Unless one of the babies is hurting or about to fall off the sofa, I repeat -- do not stop snapping those pictures. The quicker your clicks, the more likely you are to land a good shot.

Feel free to grunt, howl and jump, too. If you're lucky, at least one of the kids will think it's funny.

But remember, keep clicking that camera. We're in the digital era now... so there's no need to worry about that film.
