I am currently reading Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption. It is a story about Olympic runner Louis Zamperini and his survival at sea and in Japanese POW camps during WWII. I love books about WWII. I love the romanticism of the times, although I understand that war is hell no matter what decade it happens in. I love the music, the clothes, the hair, the zest for life, and the belief that right will always prevail over evil. And, because I wonder if faced with the same circumstances today, would we react with such honor.
