In the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake we have gotten thousands of calls from families wanting to open there home to children orphaned by the earthquake. If you are among them, I want to take a moment to thank you for opening your generous heart to someone so in need of love. All of us at Dillon are following the situation with aching hearts.

That said, at this time we are not sure how international adoption will be affected by the earthquake. If you have questions you want answered, visit our blog (http://www.dillonadopt.blogspot.com/) to get a better view of the situation.

You can also visit our websites, www.dillonadopt.com or www.orphancareintl.org, for regular updates on the hospital and orphanages that Dillon supports in Haiti. I am also posting regular updates to our facebook page (www.facebook.com/dillon.international). You can become a friend and join our cause.

The tough reality is that we cannot accept new applications for Haiti until the government has regrouped and we know for sure which children truly are orphaned and do not have extended family or friends that will take them in. Meanwhile, if international adoption is something that you truly are interested in pursuing, we at Dillon encourage you to remember that there are children in every country that need a forever family. Dillon International also places children from South Korea, China, Hong Kong, India, Ethiopia, Ghana, Russia, Honduras and Nepal. You can find out more about each program on our website, www.dillonadopt.com.

Thank you for all of your support of Haiti during the past week. With your help we have raised more than $40,000 for our hospital and orphanage.
