Safety Tips to Prevent Your Dream Pool from Becoming a Nightmare

Whether it’s a cosy hot tub, a full-sized pool or something in between, having a private place to take a dip at home is one of life’s greatest luxuries. There is little that compares to shrugging off the day’s troubles with a few relaxing laps or a good book and the gentle massage of…

OUR DAILY PINS

I have spoken with several aspiring writers recently and the consensus is that they feel overwhelmed and lost.  The questions of where to begin and how to write a query letter are frequent.  I have also heard the question regarding how to pitch an idea to a magazine without having any clips.  Breaking into a career as a freelance writer can be daunting.  I am lumping myself in with the pack of people who dream of the day where writing is their sole career and a profitable one at that.

I have put myself on a strict plan to write at least one query letter a day in hopes of getting  an assignment and a step closer to achieving my dream.  I have been finding some amazing websites recently that I thought I would share with you.

I don't have the answers (yet) as to how to break into the mysterious world of writing, but I definitely feel like I am on the right track.  As always, if you have some advice to add, a link to share or a story to tell, please put it in the comment section below.  I appreciate the interaction with you, the reader, and have found your thoughts to be a wonderful addition to the topic of the day. :)

Great Links for Aspiring Writers:

http://www.wow-womenonwriting.com/   This is the best website I have found so far.  I love this site!!  If there is only one link you are willing to click on, make it this one.

http://www.writersdigest.com/editor-blogs/guide-to-literary-agents   Wealth of knowledge.

http://krissymediaink.com/  Perfect website for someone beginning a writing career.

http://www.therenegadewriter.com  All about the dreaded query with many examples.  Priceless.

There are of course many other websites I have perused, but these links by far have been my favorite and most useful sites. :)
