Today I took my daughters to a Memorial Day event. We attended because I wanted to show support to our service men and women, past and present. I was thrilled to see the huge number of people who showed up in a small town to give honor to our military. It was a beautiful event, with all branches of the military present, blue star & gold star moms, and World War II veterans. Speeches were presented, songs sung, and honor given to those who served and also to those who have members of their family currently serving.
