I haven't done this in a while.  Z's been working a lot of 2nd shifts, so I haven't been doing a lot of cooking.  But since he is now back on first shift (any by Sunday you can expect my first shift-work journal), I am looking forward to cooking up some yummy meals!

Monday: Spaghetti (I make my sauce with very little tomato sauce, I'll be sharing my recipe soon - it's great for those who struggle with ulcers or GERD, and cannot do spicy/tomato-ey things)

Tuesday: Lemon Basil Chicken

Wednesday: Potato Pie

Thursday: Braised Chicken and Mushrooms

Friday: Bean Soup

Saturday: Tacos

Sunday: Japanese Chicken Salad

Not only are we in another heat wave, I am 8 months pregnant and having the mother of all hot flashes.

So, I came up with a new variation of an old favorite in the way of a cool desert.

This is what you need:

A banana

Ice cream

Whipped topping

Chocolate sauce

An Ice cream scoop

A knife

A pretty ice cream dish

A spoon

Slice or chop your banana in the bottom of the dish

Scoop out a few scoops of ice cream

Have fun with the whipped topping (of course, the more the better!)

Drizzle lots of chocolate sauce all over

Enjoy!
