...are you are chronic migraine sufferer like me? if yes, I feel for you....in my opinion this is one of most the debilitating illnesses that you can suffer through...and I should know, as unfortunately I have a few; am a coeliac, migraines, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, chronic lower back pain (back intervention minor sugeries coming up this month), as well as food & chemical intolerances & allergies. Whew! I seriously believe that i was a mass murderer in a former life to have been dumped with that cocktail of goodies, but hey what can you do except deal with the hand you are dealt, right?? for me, that means a continual quest to relieve pain, stay positive and regain some quality of life.....I WILL GET THERE! I WANT TO LIVE NOT EXIST!!
....just this last few days, our national news released a research report from one our own local Gold Coast Universities, Griffith, regarding a breakthrough in the effectiveness of vitamin supplements on the severity migraines in SOME migraine sufferers. When I first heard this I thought, oh yeah right, here we go again! But then I recalled that when I had all of my amalgam fillings removed, part of the vitamin regime that they put me on for detoxification of heavy metals included Folic Acid & Vit B Complex......and I do recall that my migraines were less severe. In saying that I was also put on a diet that was fairly much 'gluten-free' at the same time, so that may have been the reason for the reduction. At the end of the day, with my migraines lasting from 7-16 days consecutively, I'm willing to try ANYTHING! So, I started on my folic acid and vit B today! I'll let you know how it goes......
