Chaos happens, even when we work hard to do everything right. It sounds like you've hit a patch of demands that are sucking the air from the room. *Hugs*
Now stop for 5 minutes and hug Hunter tight and give yourself permission to just "be". The world won't stop spinning. You deserve to be here and use up space and air even if nothing goes right for a whole week.
I don't know what you day job is, but if the finances could be made to work, register with every temp agency you can find and let them find new jobs for you until one fits. That way, if there's any possibility of taking a day for all your other projects, you can do it. I realize that might not work, but it would put you on the path to finding another situation on a trial basis so you can measure the fit.
I saw on your blog that you're a chef. So my suggestion to take it easy in the kitchen for a week or two probably won't sit well. I would have suggested a week of drive-up windows or sandwich picnics, but it might be that cooking helps your feeling of control.
Lastly, know that it's not always your responsibility to keep chaos at bay. Sometimes all you can do is plod through it until the sky clears and things settle in. This time of year is crazy. School, fall schedules, dreams of the future - they all crowd in during September. But that's just tradition, not the word of God or anything.
