Mommy and Me Nail Polish Review - Ella+Mila!

MyBabyOliveJuice-Ella+Mila5

I remember when I first found out that Olive was going to be a girl, I was just over the moon. All I wanted was a healthy baby of course, but (not so) secretly, I wanted a little girl. I was looking forward to my daughter doing ‘girly’ things with me: hair, nails, shopping – you name it.

When she recently turned 18 months old, I found out about Ella + Mila Nail Polish. They have this Mommy + Me set, which comes with a large bottle of polish for you, a smaller bottle of polish for your little one, and a set of nail stickers to decorate your nails with. They are also “5 Free” – they produce their nail polish without the 5 common chemicals found in other polish brands.

Uh, okay, win for me and baby!

Let me be honest here – it is not easy painting a toddler’s nails. She was really intrigued for the first hand/foot, but it was a little bit of a struggle to get her to sit still for the other side. But when it was all done, she loved them. She told me that she thought they were ‘nice’ (she has limited words, people!) I painted my own nails when she was down for her nap, and I thought the colors we chose were perfect.

Surprisingly, the nail polish also lasted a while – they didn’t chip at all for a week – and I wash my hair daily, and do many dishes. That’s basically an eternity for me.

I probably will wait until she’s a little older to attempt to do this again, just because the whole “sitting still” aspect of Olive is not the best right now. But, if you do have a little girl and you’re itching to do something similar – I would use this cute set in a heartbeat. It’s a cute way to bond with your little!
