I tried rock-climbing! A great experience, but, man, it's hard. It requires education, strategy, concentration, endurance, strength, patience & in my case, humility (wearing a harness between your legs isn't fashionable). Thankfully, I was in the cool & patient company of trainer-friend Ryan, & two buds, Caro & Natalie. What I learned about rock-climbing is you have to TOTALLY TRUST your belayer. You put YOUR life in someone else's to get back onto ground. Such is life. When we TRUST God (with this dangerous thing called life) we are better off letting Him get us back onto ground than depending on our own strength & skill. Let's face it, we just don't have it. Thankfully, God always does. Tonight, I learned a new name for God: He is my Belayer! I trust in Him & He gets me back.
