MY 1st TIME SURFING & NO SHARK GOT ME SO I LIVED TO TELL ABOUT IT

Our good friends, BJ & Christia, invited the boys & I to join them for free surfing lessons offered by Island Water Sports. Initially, I declined because A) I don't play where sharks live & B) I DEFINITELY don't go where sharks are when it's DAWN--the prime feeding time for those ghastly beasts. But, I'm also a sucker for being a fun mom, so I relented. We actually had a blast & thankfully, I lived to tell about it. Here's a few pix of our 1st surf adventure (pix of me falling off surfboard have been forever eliminated)

What a classic! I live in Australia, and we swim in the surf all the time. Have had a few shark alarms while swimming in my life time, but never been bitten.... I even did swimming in shark bay at Sea World with my husband and two oldest children. Amazing experience.
