I'm feeling frustrated with figuring out how to link things, add photos, etc. Any advice???

My teenage children are never around!!

Feel free to give me lots of advice and easy "how to" tips!!

Robin,

First, for help with blogger.com blogs go to http://help.blogger.com/. That's your first resource to learn how to create links, post pictures, change the templates, etc.

To create a link here in MBC, type your word, then highlight it with your mouse, and click on the link button above (the icon that looks like a chain). A box will pop up and you enter the URL into it, then you hit OK.

To get your customers to look at your blog, make sure to have lots of links between your business website and your blog. You can also put your blog's URL in emails, on fliers, on business cards, in advertising, etc. If you send a lot of emails to customers, make sure the URLs for both your sites (website and blog) are in your signature as is your contact info (name, phone, email, etc.)

Thanks for responding to my questions! Please take a look at my blog http://grandmasshoppeblog.blogspot.com/
It's simple to use yet I want to add photos within the text and I'm only able to find templates. I think there must be a way to do this but I'm not sure how.

On MBC I got frustrated when I wanted to add a link. I see the link on the tool bar but wasn't sure if I was using it correctly. I did take out some books yesterday from the library and my web designer has been very helpful.

I also would like more of my customers to go to my blog.I'd like to be able to talk to my customers through it. As a former store manager, I was always able to get to know my customers and show them new merchandise as it arrived. As a manager of an online site, I would like to be able to have a way to "talk" to my customers and get to know them. I'm just not sure how to get them to look at the blog. (possilby links from the merchandise pages as well?

Thanks-
Robin

Robin, I don't know where to start! Are there any writer's groups or community colleges that offer blogging classes by you? Also, go to the library and see if there are any books on blogging. (New ones are coming out all the time.) Another idea is to find someone in your area that blogs and pay them to teach you the basics. What blogging software are you using?
