Tips to Prevent Getting an Infectious Disease While on Vacation

Dr. Brent W. Laartz thought he was in for the ride of his lifetime when he set out on a horseback riding excursion in Costa Rica.

Admittedly younger and more naïve than he is today, Laartz – an infectious disease specialist and author of the book How to Avoid Contagious Diseases…

OUR DAILY PINS

Organic / Eco-Friendly / Being Green, is it a HOAX?

The quick answer - NO!

Now for the long answer:

How important are eco friendly and or organic items to you?

The more that I learn about what goes into our food, clothing, household items etc, the more I lean towards finding the organic version.  Ever since having kids this issue has become more and more important to me.  I was not raised in an Eco-Frienldy environment - but then again, I really don't think it was as much of an issue as it is today.

I love learning about how I can have less of a carbon footprint on the environment -

Now, as far as food goes, I do think buying local produce is far better then buying a head of broccoli that is organic but was shipped from 500 miles away - that just does not make sense....but local is best.

And little things like brining your own reusable bags to the supermarket is way important and a great habit to get into.

Clothing - well, this is my latest obsession - I really am into Bamboo - it is sooooo soft and, well its made from Bamboo which grows out of control.

So, if you get a chance please visit my site - and latest obsession (aside from my kids! LOL) www.HarperGraceOrganics.com which of course is the sister site to my other 2 sites.

Happy Day!
