We had a fun little weekend. Friday we had to do an unexpected trip to Cheyenne. But the girls enjoyed that since we let them play at the McDonald's playground. And that's only because that one looks cleaner than most! And we ran out of pull ups for Kaitlyn. Instead of buying a new pack...we are biting down really hard and just throwing them out the window for good! So just big girl undies for her for now on...even to bed! aah!
She needs to be potty trained all the way by the time school starts so its time to buckle down and finish the job. She is pretty much potty trained at home but out in public she has accidents every now and then.

Anyways, that's how our Friday went. Saturday we went out for Mexican food. I'm finally realizing I don't have to order food, I can just eat the girls leftovers! They NEVER finish their plate when we are out to eat. That reminds me of being a kid, anything we didn't want my mom would always say "give it to your dad" and sure enough he would eat whatever was left on our plate.
After dinner....a family outing to the grocery store! People think we are crazy for taking all our girls to grocery shop but I wouldn't have it any other way. We like doing most things as a family including that. The times when I'm alone doing it I actually feel weird all by myself. So yes we make it a family affair.

Our Independence Day was fun. We BBQ ed and had a picnic out in the backyard. The girls were so excited for this. Its crazy how such simple things can make kids so happy!

Dessert....red white and blue cupcakes! These are so easy to make too!
Just use white cake mix (I used confetti) and color 1/3 of the batter red and 1/2 of it blue with food coloring.
layer the 3 in each cupcake holder and you get these yummy deals!
