My dauther who will be three years old on the 24th of January is having new experiences with life! Even though she is going to be three years old becasue she has an older brother who is 6 years old and an older sister who is 8 she thinks she is much older than she is right now. I'm sure if you have more than one child you are experiencing the samething. Marcia has more energy than anyone I have ever met! She is full of life and creativity. Her mind is always thinking and she is always getting herself into something. The other day she wanted just plain old peanut butter from the jar. She didn't want bread, jelly just a spoon and the jar of peaunut butter. Since she is my third child, I'm much more flexiable than I was with my first. So I let her have it. I went to the bedroom for just a few minutes to put away some laundry and when I came back in the kitchen Marcia was no longer there. She went to the front room with her jar and spoon and rubbed it all over her body, the chair she was sitting in and had her feet in the jar of peanut butter. She was so proud of herself and said this is soooooo good. All I could do at that point was laugh. I cleaned her up and she helped me clean up the mess and then she was off to find something else to explore. She wasn't afraid to try something new and even though she made a mess and knows not to do that again it didn't let her stop her from thinking and trying something else. Sometimes as mom's, at least for me, we try to be perfect afraid to try something new and maybe even worried about what others may think and sometimes even afraid to let our children be who and trying to make them into what we think society wants. Is that the life we want to live for ourselves and the life we want for our children? Do you want to live the life that you want and not the life that everyone else expects you to live? Do we want not only for ourselves but for our children to not be afraid to try something new and never stop exploring all the wonders life as to offer. There is only on person that we need to live our life for and that is God and don't let the opionions of others stop you from trying something new. As for my daughter, I hope that this will be the end of peanut butter but it will not be the end of her being who God intended her to be.
