Read Review Here: http://www.thepiggytoes.com/2012/10/27/personal-creations-canvas-bo...

I had good intentions to get crafty with Roman’s old bookcase for his new construction room (<– Check it out!) until I got a hold of a can of spray paint (which didn’t go as planned)… and then paint (which didn’t go as planned) and, well, I’m not crafty.  Then I remembered this canvas bookcase I saw on Personal Creations website and it was a done deal; I had to order it!  It is perfect for any little girl or boys bedroom and/or playroom and comes in pastel or primary colors.

We ordered the one with primary colors because it matches his bedding perfectly!  Not to mention, I thought it would look awesome sitting against the orange accent wall!  It has 5 pockets for books and provides easy access for him to get to all of his fav books!  Personal Creations website was so easy to navigate and place my order; I was very pleased.  It took me no time at all!  One of the best parts was that Personal Creations offered FREE SHIPPING and they personalize for FREE as well.  Yes, FREE!  That’s great news for some but for me, I would have liked the choice to personalize this.  I didn’t want to put Roman’s name on it should I ever choose to move it to our toy room or another room in our home.  Since I didn’t have the choice, I personalized it with the word: READ

I was so excited for this bookcase to arrive and within days, there it was on our doorstep!  It was seriously less than 1 week!  So here’s the scoop:  When I took it out of the box and began to assemble it, the holes didn’t line up on the bottom piece of wood so the screws didn’t fit perfectly in.  My hubby rigged it to make it work but the 4th screw hole doesn’t line up at all and the screw is currently only halfway in.  Then I began assembling the canvas and wooden rods which was easy peasy!  However, when it stood tall, not only is the bottom pocket not as big as it looks online, the word ‘READ’ is positioned too low that you can’t read it properly!  Call me picky but this bothers me:

I thought that maybe the books were too heavy until I tested it out and no matter what size books I put in that pocket, you can’t see the whole word.  Hence why I wish ‘NO Embroidery’ was an option.  The bookcase holds a good amount of books for the size of it and Roman is so excited to have it in his room!  I will update this post as to what Personal Creations does about the embroidery (if anything) and I would recommend this product if 1. They fix the embroidery and 2. We can get the 4th screw in at the bottom so none of my children get hurt on it.
