Our pet wellness topic today is an important one for dogs and cats that suffer with seizures. Seizures are common in dogs, less in cats and according to Dr. Andrew Jones, DVM, there is now an inexpensive amino acid that even has a scientific basis for being extremely helpful to dogs and cats that suffer from seizures.

Taurine For Dogs Complimentary therapy for seizures may help decrease seizure activity for dogs and cats. Dr Jones says to discuss this option with your vet but he would certainly give it to his dog or cat suffering with seizures, as it is safe and has few side effects.


Dog: 400mg per 40lbs of body weight, PO twice daily.
Cat: 500mg, PO twice daily.
