My grandfather was both grey and balding by 27 years of age. I, thankfully, have not gone bald, but at 36 I have a few grey hairs. Okay, a little more than a few. But I embrace them fully!
My stylist is another story. She can’t understand why I won’t dye them away, shaking her head disapprovingly as I tell her I’m looking forward to going grey gracefully! I’ve always loved seeing a young(er) woman with white hair and an AWESOME haircut. It looks cutting edge and feisty. This is exactly what I hope to share in. But society today often views white hair as passé, something to be hidden. Who are we kidding? How many 80 year old women really have perfectly dark hair? And why is it distinguished, and trustworthy for the male gender to go grey. (Ever notice how presidential candidates seem greyer right around election time?).
Come on ladies! Who’s with me?
