Happy 2016!!! Did you make a New Year's Resolution? I didn't.
I don't make New Year's resolutions...anymore. No deep-rooted reasons why, other than I have a track record of not sticking to them. For years, I have wanted to lose weight. An example of my New Year's resolution then would be to lose 25 pounds by my 25th birthday, or by an anniversary, party, or a friend's visit. After two weeks, I'll see a change for the better and think a cheat day isn't a big deal. That cheat day turns into two, then three days. Before I know it...I've enjoyed a few months of no exercise vacation!
I was watching the Steve Harvey show and heard his guest, Eric Thomas explain why he didn't believe there was any such thing as procrastination. We just put off things we don't see as urgent. I was suddenly seeing flashbacks of times I would use the word, procrastination. Realizing, how much I appreciated Eric's view of the word. I put it off so often because it wasn't that important to me. I mean, I wanted to look good, but I wasn't ready to put in the work. (continue)
