Travel Safely in Style

Do you like traveling! It can be your biggest hobby or it's just your work that requires you to travel from time to time. Traveling is enjoyable when you are rest assured of your safety, and what is the best way to be safe than being insured, you can be easily covered with…

So, I can read, big deal right. It was pointed out to me recently that with the death of J.D. Salinger all my favorite authors are dead. Just in case you wanted to know the others include Douglas Adams and a bunch of long gone philosophers. I don’t make nearly enough time for my own reading pleasure anymore and no where has that been more apparent then when I added Mo Willems to my exclusive roundtable of ghosts. He really does fit in though, exactly my sense of humor. I can see him sitting there drinking earl grey with Adams while having witty life altering conversations with Salinger. (Because my Salinger is very extroverted, he just had the right idea when it came to fame).

If you don’t know who Mo Willems is he just so happens to be a multiple Caldecott and Emmy award winning animator who wrote for Sesame Street and authored my new favorite book, The Pigeon Wants a Puppy. It’s about you guessed it, an adorable pigeon who just wants his very own puppy. We can all relate to his plight because well, puppies are awesome. You’ll have to read the book to find out how the puppy situation worked out for him.

I love his entire Pigeon series. We are still trying to find The Pigeon Has Feelings Too! These books are so funny you’d read them even if you didn’t have your one year old daughter shoving the book in your face to read it to her again, and again, and again. You can find them pretty much anywhere online. At the Pigeon Presents site you can go print out educational guide materials for kids, http://www.pigeonpresents.com (There’s this one activity where he teaches you how to draw the Pigeon, and seriously, you should see my office cubicle right now…)

Check out Mo's blog at http://mowillemsdoodles.blogspot.com/ or if you have a twitter account you can sign up to tweet with the pigeon! The Pigeon Tweets is the only thing that ever made me think, "Hey, I need a twitter account."

Check out my site, http://www.sproutreviews.com for more! Fill out our email subscription and get updated whenever we have a great post like this one!

So tell me, what's something you've wanted forever, at least since last Tuesday?
