After Payden went down for a nap this morning the sun peeked through the clouds for a bit so the girls and I went out to play. I saw a foal and her mommy hanging around the fence so we went out to see them. It
was fun because the foal was rather curious about my girls…they are like
miniature humans with squealing voices. The foal would walk up and try
to figure them out and they would run back to me screaming away like it
was going to eat them alive. Most the time the foal would run back to
it's mom thinking the same thing!

We then gather grass for the other horses that were tied up and went around feeding them and scratching their itchy spots. I let them sit on
“Starlight” my favorite camp horse while I stood there getting eaten
alive by fire ants. I promised to take them on a ride later if it wasn’t
raining. It is the rainy season and it has been very, very rainy,
everything is flooded and camp is slowing becoming an island. One of our
employees had to swim to get to work today, talk about dedication!! His
house in two feet of water and his wife just had a baby a month ago.
His family has moved into the school building in town for now and he is
staying to work and watch over their place. This is happening to quite a
few families in our area so Adam went into town today to see what we
can do to help. Hopefully the rain will stop soon!!
