| This is my wax melting in my tall pot. |
The wax costs about $24.00 up here for a good chunk. 1/3 of the chunk made 3 dozen fire starters and the slab of sawdust starters. I put them into a decorative container near our stove.
***Be Careful Though - they are combustible.***
My husband had the container sitting on the stove once when he was starting it and they flamed up from the heat.
I always make sure I set aside plenty of time to do this also. I like to have a couple hours alone in the kitchen so I'm not walking away from them, though I can definitely do this with mass chaos around me. I simply like to have the time to myself to listen to the 60's Pandora channel and dance around while I do it. And I sing, every song, as loud as I can.
