"Time flies by so quickly that another month has come
and will be gone in a few minutes."
Almost a year ago we moved from Texas to Utah. And oh my goodness, is it a million steps up from where we used to live. Living in the mountains is a dream come true for me. Since we are such outdoor enthusiasts, living here has been more than awesome. There is so much to see, do, and behold here. There's hardly been any weekends where we sat at home. Why? Cause, we've got a diem to carpe!
Seize the Day Example #1 Drove to Idaho for the heck of it.
One day I just up and decided to go for a drive to Logan Canyon cause I heard it was super pretty. It's about an hour away. Right before I got there I realized I was only 30 mins from the Idaho state line. I drove to Preston ID, which happens to be the town they filmed Napoleon Dynamite in! Gawwwh. Another day drove to Bear Lake and Wyoming.

Example #2 Went to Guatemala. Twice!
In the last year and 3 months I've been to Guatemala 4 times. Each time was for a different mission trip, but to the same Mayan village. I love the people and culture and have felt blessed to go back so often and be a part of what God is doing there.
Example #3 Snow is my new best friend
We would get a little bit of snow, every once in a while in Texas. Nothing, nothing like we do here in Utah. I tried snowboarding for the first time (loved it) and we sledded our little hearts out this winter. Thanksgiving day? Sled. Weekends? Sled. Free time during the day? Sled. The Dew Tour came! It was free and a lot of fun!
Example #4 Hike, explore and more hike
I was looking at my Runkeeper yesterday and boy have we hiked a lot! There are so many trails here with miles and miles and miles to cover. So much exploration to be had! We went camping last weekend and even hiked then too! We've seen waterfalls (200ft), natural springs, moose, deer, chipmunks and sheep.
Example # 5 Embark into the unknown...homeschool
I was never homeschooled myself, but it's something that my husband and I really want to try with our daughter. This last year was our first attempt. It took a lot of effort on all our parts, but it was a lot of fun and very rewarding.
Example #6 Having as much fun as possible with family & friends

2011 was a pretty epic year for me. There was a lot of the good, the bad and the ugly, but still epic. 2012 was the result of the good epicness. Both years will probably go down as my best two years ever. But who knows what 2013 will hold for us all.
