Showcase Cinemas reinvents your family movie experience

The old days of buying a bag of popcorn and a soda yourself at the movies will soon be gone. National Amusements, which runs Showcase Cinemas, has come up with an array of ideas to improve your average movie going experience. They offer special programs designed for families with kids of all ages. Some of them are being tested now in select theatres.

Director's Hall
Pick your own seats at the time of the purchase. Enjoy concession items delivered by assigned servers to your premium comfy seat. Menus are provided when you pick up your tickets at the box office and all food is delivered before the movie begins. Menu items range from traditional pop corn and nachos to burgers, pizza, and more. Simply go directly to your seat where a server will take your order. Orders will be received right up until the start of coming attractions and all food will be delivered prior to the start of the film.

Baby Pictures
Parents and babies can enjoy the latest movies in a baby-friendly setting.
- Dim lighting to allow for easy child care in the auditorium
- Movie volume will be lowered for babies' sensitive hearing
- Baby changing stations
- Area for strollers
- Food cart offering breakfast goodies and concessions for sale
- Reduced ticket price

Kids of all ages are invited to Kidtoons Story Time. Each month a new popular story is offered for the whole family will enjoy. An animated storyteller will encourage you to use your imagination by bringing your favorite characters to life. Kids are invited to participate in creative activities and will get a coupon for a FREE slice of pizza! Kidtoons Story Time will be held immediately following the Kidtoons feature at participating locations.

National Amusements has teamed up with its friends at Nickelodeon® to create an exciting toddler program called Nick Jr. At The Movies! Together, parents and children can enjoy special sing-along music videos and exciting episodes from popular Nick Jr.® shows, exclusively at participating National Amusements locations.
Complete the experience with a purchase of the popular 1· 2 · 3 GO BOX at the concession stand. This snack pack invites kids to choose their own snacks, carry their own GO BOX to their seats and take home their colorful tote to play the fun activity on the Nickelodeon®-themed container!

In addition Showcase Cinemas offers birthday parties, $6 Tuesday special, free Holiday Classics movies, live brodcasts from Metropolitan Opera and more.
