Snow Bound! Currently, 49 out of 50 states have snow on the ground. Which state does not?

A bit of trivia for you:

Q: Currently, 49 out of the 50 states have snow on the ground. Which state does not?

A: Florida

Q: What do children do in hopes of having a snow day?

A: Wear their pajamas backwards and inside out.

Q: Are we in the U.S. jealous of those of you who live in the U.K., Australia…?

A: YES!!!

If you, like me, are not fortunate enough to winter in Florida then you may have had some “time off” from work as schools were closed due to inclement weather.  We’ve already used two of our three snow days and with the impending storm this week my backwards, inside out pajama wearing kids plan on staying home again mid week.  Many schools have already used the allotted snow days resulting in fewer vacation days or days tacked on at the end of the year!  Ugh for all. (Except Floridians and those of you outside the U.S.- lucky you!)

If you should happen to be snowbound this week, we urge you to spend some time watching our new interview (second in a series of four) with Jenny McCarthyButterfly’s January “Mom Mentor,” actress, author and founder of Too Good™ by Jenny.  And then, after you’ve wiped up the snow that your children have tracked in for the 435th time, check out these new Butterfly mom member blogs:

Shortly after you’ve thrown the kids snow clothes in the dryer for the 628th time, join some new Butterfly groups to network and connect with like-minded Butterfly women:

  1. Moms Working Part-Time- Discuss the advantages of working part-time, what opportunities are out there, or if you have considered work-at-home.
  2. Green Moms- This group is for Moms who are already green or would like to be green. Please share insight, ask questions, get feedback or just connect with other Green Moms like you!
  3. Resume and Interview Tips- Get advice from a Cigna talent consultant and a full-time, work-at-home mom. This group will share tips and conversation to help moms with the resume writing and interview stage process.

Take advantage of the snow and catch up with Butterfly and the fabulous women located outside your office, blackberry or other device that keeps you connected to whatever pays the bills.

Here’s to spring!
