What would have been our first family vacation with our daughter has fallen through. We had planned to go to Valdosta, GA to Wild Adventures theme park. We booked the hotel and then come to find out, even though the park is open, its not open on the days we had planned to go. Option #1 - go earlier and pay extra hotel rates for weekend or Option #2 - find something else to do. We opted for #2 and I am now in charge of planning our hybrid staycation. My idea is that since we really haven't explored Atlanta since we;ve moved here we can find attractions around town and explore like we're tourists. As a plus we don't have to pay for hotel rooms! More money to do things with. The hard part is my husband is so picky that all museums and the zoo are out of the question and Six Flags isn't open for the season. I have a week to plan this and get it husband approved. Hmmm, where to start?
