Yesterday Ashlyn started rolling around on the carpet whining about her
stomach hurting. She seemed pretty uncomfortable so I decided to let her
do what makes everything better...watching the magical story of
We were headed down the stairs when she started coughing and then made a
small gagging sound. No sooner had I asked "Ashlyn are you going to
throw up?" when the flood gates opened. I think her vomit sailed through
the air for at least a foot before landing and splashing down the steps
and onto the walls. I scooped her up and ran her back to our bathroom
in time for the second wave and then put her in the bathtub to wash off.
When I came back to help clean up it looked like a Subway sandwich had
exploded...should not have made her eat those last few bites! My step
mother and I scrubbed the carpet and the whole time I was wondering what
was going through her head because she likes things "just so". My
brother is banned from using any bathroom other than his own because
he's "to messy" and they have a sign on the dishwasher that tells you if
the dishes are clean or dirty because you'd never know just by looking
at them. And now my kid just took out her whole stair way in seconds.
Thankfully all she said was "I've never seen anything like this" and
just kept scrubbing.
After it was cleaned up she wanted to steam clean the carpet so it
wouldn't smell (honestly, who owns a steam cleaner?!). So I pulled out
this giant machine and attempted to drag it up and down the stairs.
However it did not work and only poured out mass amounts of soapy water
and soaked the carpet with water instead of cleaning it. Then out came
the fan to dry the wet, smelly carpet. We finally gave up and she just
had me spray Resolve carpet cleaner and vacuum instead. However this
morning it looks like the Resolve might have bleached the carpet in
areas...I do not know what we will destroy next and I'm not sure how
much longer my step mom will be able to put up with all the crying,
crumbs and vomit! Ah well, what is family for if not to drive each other
