I'm busy today so I don't have time for a long post. Instead I'm going to share my all time FAVORITE detox recipe:
1 can each of rinsed - Red Beans, Black Beans, Pinto Beans, Great Northern Beans, and Kernel Corn.
1 package of extra firm tofu - Crumbled
1 can Rotel Tomatoes
1 can low sodium Diced Tomatoes
2 cans water
Season to taste with Chili powder, Cumin, Garlic powder and fresh cilantro. (I like it spicey so I add lots of Chili and Cumin!)
This is super easy. Put everything in a large pot and bring to a boil. (The longer it sits the more flavorful it gets) That's it!
This is the first recipe we always start off with during detox. It is also my husband's favorite and he swears he could do all 9 days of detox eating nothing but taco soup. I love it too, but I also like variety.
Another great recipe that pairs nicely with the taco soup is mock cornbread. This is a great option when you are not allowed to eat bread during Phase 1 and 2 of the Fat Smash Diet.
