Ahhh A New Year...a time when we can wipe the slate clean and start again-if need be- or just get a fresh start to make this year a little more.....
Well, if you answered organized you are in the right place! January just happens to be the most popular time of year for people to jump on the "Get Organized Train". Maybe it's all those new items you received for Christmas that you have no room for that makes you realize that you just may have too much stuff!
Take a look around your life. What areas have too much clutter? Your home, your mind, your office, your schedule? How does the clutter make you feel? Tired, stressed, overwhelmed, sad?
Ask yourself these questions as you begin a new year and a new journey. When you reach the end of this journey on December 31, 2009 how do you want to feel? Will you feel contented, relieved, happy, depressed? Or will you be able to say that you lived this year the way you hoped you would? The choice is yours.
I encourage each of you to take a close look at your life and see where the clutter is. Clutter doesn't always show up as too many knick-knacks on the fireplace mantel. It comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Including mental clutter, lost sight of priorities, insufficient time with your family, obstacles that always prevent you from reaching your goals, unhealthy relationships, and of course the 75 Tupperware containers that full out every time you open that kitchen cupboard. Clutter does affect our lives and our health in many negative ways.
So why wait? I challenge you to Organize Now! Over the next 12 months we can all be a part of an organizing revolution. You can organize your life so that by next New Year's Eve you will feel more energized, less overwhelmed and more successful. By getting organized your career, your health and your relationships can thrive in 2009!
How is this going to happen? Well, every Saturday this year I will select one goal from Organize Now
! a week-by-week guide to simplify your space and your life. The goal will challenge you to organize ONE thing in your life. The following week we can all comment on how that goal helped us and support each other in the process. For those of you that already have the book
you can follow along with more in depth goals, checklists, tips etc. Please feel free at any time to ask questions or share ideas so that others can benefit.
Will you take the Organize Now challenge? Let me know in a comment and then place your challenge badge (above) on your blog or website to let everyone know that you are committed to a more organized life~! Oh and just for fun one person that joins the group will win a copy of Organize Now. Drawing will take place February 28th.
Ok, now I am off to host a birthday party for 16 little 7 year old girls for my daughter's birthday. Wish me luck!
