OUR DAILY PINS

I'm the kind of mom that lets my son play with pool toys......
Inside.
Yea...that's me.
Now do you understand why???
Smiles = much better than unnecessary tantrums.
(at least for me anyways.....)
I'm the kind of mom that lets things sit....

on the floor...
in the middle of the hall....
well, as long as it's being played with....
Can you say "trip hazard"???
That's right.

OUCH!

I'm the kind of mom that lets her son wear a neck tie...

....with his pajamas...

a nice cool hat...

and a character bandaid on his face.
(don't forget the jammies!)

I'm the kind of mom ....

....that invites cartoon characters to dinner.
Yes, even when they have a "snake in their boot!".
Yee-haw cowboy!  ;o)

I'm the kind of mom....

...that puts off getting a haircut,
and
let's little people play with vacuum cleaner hoses
on the table.
Where eating happens.
[This was during his "I'm terrified of vacuum cleaners" phase.  It's not the most sanitary thing I know..
but thank goodness for lysol disinfectant."]

  • I'm the kind of mom that walks into the MEN'S bathroom in a book store.
Yea, that's me.
[Seriously I've begged for a changing table in men's bathrooms for AGES, and I walk into one that actually has one, feel right at home & start getting down to business.  I look around and see a urinal.....the rest is history.  WOW!  Embarrassing moment of the YEAR!  Thankfully no one was in there....and I left in such a hurry that I almost had to purchase two HUGE new clocks that I knocked down {outside the door} on my way out.]

  • I'm the kind of mom that uses bribery to my advantage.
Seems like every store we enter these days has a new toy that lil' man just has to have.  I've bribed him with "If you're good, maybe it will show up in your easter basket......".

  • I'm the kind of mom that gets flustered, annoyed, tired, and lonesome.......
but I'm also the kind of mom that doesn't mind getting dirty
or
pushing my son on the swing before dinner.
(He ate like a HORSE last night!!!!!)

I'm the kind of mom that knows my days with a cuddly, snuggly, toddler,
are numbered.

I'm the kind of mom that needs a daily reminder to slow down, soak in the moment,  take a picture,
and make a memory.

I'm the kind of mom that cries crocodile tears when I think about my son ever growing up enough

to go to kindergarten.
Drive a car.
Go on a date.
Or ever get married.

Yea...I'm that kind of mom.
What kind of mom are YOU???
