First off, THANK YOU for stopping by today. I have been planning The Best in Baby Scrapbooking for about two months and I am so excited that the week has finally arrived and that you are here.

To those of you that are new, let me quickly introduce myself. My name is Jessica Turner. I am married to Matthew and we have a 5-month old named Elias. He rocks our world. I work full time at a fabulous marketing/pr firm in Nashville called Lovell Communications. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my sweet family and scrapbooking. My scrapbooking addiction has evolved since adding the title Mommy to my name. I now scrap simpler, but am more committed than ever to leaving a legacy for my son and his family through my scrapbooks. This week I hope to introduce you to some fabulous products that are enabling me to do this. (Disclaimer - none of these companies have paid me to feature them this week!)

Today's featured products are Elle's Studios and Die Cuts With A View.

A big part of baby's first year is tracking his growth milestones. When I saw Elle's Studios darling baby's first year monthly tags, I knew they would make the perfect mini album. Elle's tags are made of high-quality acid free cover-weight paper and have a contemporary design. They would also work well in a baby album, or regular scrapbook pages.
I covered all the pages using Die Cuts With a View's Nana's Nursery line. I LOVE the Nana's Nursery line. Generally I am not a fan of tablet-style scrapbook paper. Usually the designs are a bit cheesy and predictable to me and I end up not using more than half of the tablet. This is definitely NOT the case with the Nana's Nursery line. I used just about every sheet of it and could easily use another tablet. The papers are SO darling. DCWV offers both a boy and a girl line.

Here is how I combined these products into a simple album that showcases Elias's growth every month. (You can click on the pictures to make them bigger). I need to write something in the chipboard on this first page, but am not sure what I am going to write yet... maybe the dates - July 2008-July 2009. We'll see. I have time.

The Watch Me Grow album I designed using these featured products is a Rusty Pickle 4x12 tag album. In addition to using the tags and paper as unifying elements, you will notice that there is ric rack on every cover page for the month and a chipboard embellishment on the back of the page. It doesn't take much to tie an album together, but little unifiers make a big difference.

Elle's Studio and Die Cuts With a View have generously provided giveaways for today! I have a boy and a girl set (tags and Nana's Nursery paper). Check 'em out.

Simply leave a comment on this post (be sure to indicate your preference for the prize - boy or girl). Comments will close next Monday at noon central time. If you put the button for The Best in Baby Scrapbooking on your blog/website you get a second entry in the drawing. Just be sure to also leave a comment here saying that the button is up!

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for more great baby scrapbooking products and another giveaway.
