These days, after being a full time working mom, I am home with my two slowly figuring out the balance in being home. These days I am a single mom while my husband takes time to finish research. While we are used to summers like this, there is always a learning curve. I have grand plans of all the things I can accomplish now that I'm not working- all the things that I wished I could do August through May. It's a tall order, and soon I figure out that it's too tall. These days I'm reminding myself that turbulence is just part of it all and that when I stop to breathe and take a moment of quiet here and there, the little things that I do accomplish, the bits of joy here and there, are what are truly important.
