OUR DAILY PINS

Advertisements

This afternoon after church, I found that most of us were sitting on our couch with our computers. As I looked over to Luke, who was also typing on his computer, I thought about how fast Christmas vacation went by for him but for me also. He desires to go back to school a few days early so that he can work at his job. Why? He may be asking a special girl for her hand in marriage and he would like to save for her engagement ring. Can you believe that this little boy who named himself "Pastor Spike" when he was five years old is now studying in a pre-seminary program and may be married next year. How can that be? Time has passed, and now I will see him care and love someone else. This call of parenthood is so awesome. Almost unexplainable. God called us into a very special place; a place where every word, every action, every look has an imput into their souls. Do not feel guilty if you have recently said something that was harsh, mean, too controlling. God is there to forgive. IMPORTANT*....tell your child your sorry. The word "sorry" is so magical if I may say. "Sorry" heals the wound you may have given. It doesn't matter how long ago it happened either. Do it! When your children are older, they will call you "Blessed".
