I have had such a wonderful time writing over the last 20 years, but what I am doing now has really pushed everything up a notch. I write blogs on two websites, am involved in the writing an extraordinary book Resham's Journey ( A woman from Nepal who through intense hard work and determination now lives in Colorado and runs two restaurants of her own) which is her story and a beautiful 200 page full color cookbook from her restaurant. I am so impressed by her resilience and ability to keep doing what she does everyday. Along with that I have 3 beautiful fiery grandchildren who I started out writing a mystery series for. The Mystery of the Whispering Wand will be out hopefully this March. It has been a joy to write in so many ways. I love Mommy Bloggers because I understand what it is like to have children and help them explore and develop their lives in so many aspects.
Writing is hard work even though Mark Twain said it isn't. He said just write and then when your done just go through it and cross out the words. I love Mark Twain. I explore his writing in depth in one of my online writing courses Adventures in Novel Writing. Between the writing classes (both online and in person) and now a few ghost writing projects I find myself writing in so many ways everyday, and I couldn't be happier. One of my grandchildren said he thinks he might start writing just for fun because it actually calms him down when he does that. I laughed and said I am a much nicer person if I write everyday, even if it is only for 1 hour. The discussion that followed was wonderful. I hope all of you Mothers, grandmothers and parents enjoy your children and grandchildren because they really are our future and I couldn't be happier about that. Blessings, Patricia
