I haven't always clipped coupons, but since I became a stay at home mother, I have tried hard to find ways to save. I used to be skeptical about how much I could save clipping coupons, until I charted my success. Now keep in mind I am in no way a pro at this. I'm fairly new at clipping coupons and I know there are a lot of other mom bloggers out there that could talk about this on a more expert level than I can and most likely save a lot more than I do per month. The key to coupon use is to use it in conjuction with sales. I know that much to be true. But you also don't want to use a coupon, just to use it. Will you consume the item you purchased? Or did you just go, "yay I have a coupon for this, I"m gonna use it". I pick thru my coupons and only clip the ones our family will use.
So I thought I would share my excel chart with you where I document all our grocery expenses and coupon savings.
