The one and only Maggie Daley Park is located in the loop or downtown area of Chicago, IL. It is a FREE public park and is 20 acres! The playground is near the Lake Michigan shoreline so not only are you getting great views of the city, you're also getting amazing views of the lakeshore.
The first thing you see when walking down the path to the park is their huge climbing wall and mini golf section, located a little further down the path. You have to pay for both of these activities, but what great options to have as a family outing! Moving on, you'll begin to see a large lighthouse slide and something that looks like a huge fort or treehouse sticking out between the trees. When you see this, you know that your adventure is about to begin.
Not only are there multiple playgrounds that make up the whole of this park, but there are also age-specific play areas to give you an idea if your child can handle the equipment located there. The splash pad provides the perfect opportunity to cool off during the hot summer days. Some families brought along swimsuits for their children, while others allowed for their children to get wet in their clothes and then run around afterwards, as they dried off. Millennium Park is also right next door!
What really makes me excited is knowing that this beautiful new park is available for EvErYoNe! It doesn't matter your social or financial or (if you want to make the drive) locational status. It's FREE and welcomes all to come and take part in it's wonderful adventures.
So, when you are going to visit the one and only Maggie Daley Park?!
