Avery important tool in life is learning about the power of our words.
Like colors, words have a vibration. Words can make you feel great or make you feel sad. Almost everyone has had experiences during childhood of being called names or being around a bully who was picking on someone.
Words can hurt. They can also change your world. The newest studies available show you how they carry their own vibration. Since we live in vibrational bodies we are effected by the vibrations that are directed at us and around us. We receive these vibrations from the music we listen to, the words we hear, TV, news, conversations, books and more. If this concept is new to you there are many studies and wonderful books exploring the power of words. One of the coolest books on the topic is
The Healing Power Of Waterby Dr. Masaru Emoto. His studies were groundbreaking. They haves shown the power of words through using water crystals. If you haven't seen his amazing photos your missing out. You will never look at words the same way. You'll never look at water the same way.
Another amazing study has just been published in
Doreen Virtue's New Book Angel Words Doreen and and her son Grant Virtue discovered while recording music, words with a spiritual, positive or loving basis had larger graphs. Negative words were completely different, their graphs were tight and small.
The impact you can have on your child's life by teaching them the simple tools of choosing their words wisely is priceless.
Here are a few ideas on teaching children about the importance of their words.
Play word games, practice how different words make them feel
Have them color or draw about how certain words make them feel.
Write with an erasable marker positive words and expressions on their bedroom or bathroom mirrors. (This works with the weekly spelling words too) Have them read the words, affirmations or expressions while preparing for school or brushing their teeth in the morning and at night. Don't be surprised if they brush their teeth or comb their hair a little longer.
Have your child repeat positive words about themselves while looking in the mirror. If they are uncomfortable with this do it with them.
Be en example by what you say and do.
Show them through books, video's, posters examples of the vibrational effects of words. (Dr. Emoto has a wonderful vivid poster of water crystals and the words that formed them)
Do you have some more ideas I can add to this list? Please leave them as a comment so everyone can benefit from your idea!
